The competition starts now
It's week two and nobody wants to be the first couple booted off the show, so there was a lot to prove on Saturday night. The scores from week one were added together with that of this week, seeing highs of 61 and lows of 24.
We enjoyed some fantastic performances, with couples dancing the Cha Cha, Charleston, Foxtrot, Quickstep, Tango and more. If it didn't make you want to get up and dance we don't know what will!
Here's our quick roundup of this weekends show
Our favourite performance of the night came from Ashley Roberts and her partner Pasha Kovalev, dancing the Cha Cha to 'Boogie Wonderland' by Earth, Wind and Fire.
Ashley impressively opened the dance by being alone on the stage, surrounded by disco balls, and joined by her partner as she made her way down the stairs.
The pair were in marching silver outfits, and they looked to be having a fantastic time together.
The judges seemed very impressed, with Bruno scoring them a 9, saying "That was an amazing Cha Cha disco dazzler. I'm telling you if that doesn't get you into the mood for dancing, nothing will. And your hips, honey, they don't lie."
Added together with their impressive score of 29 from last week, they landed themselves at the top of the leader board with 61, just above Fay Tozer and her partner Giovanni Pernice who danced the Viennese Waltz to 'It's a Man's Man's Man's World' by Seal, who scored 60.
The first couple to leave
We had to wave goodbye to our first couple this week.
Unsurprisingly for some, it was Susannah Constantine and her partner Anton du Beke who was the first to leave the glitz and the glamour.
Dancing the Foxtrot to 'They Can't Take That Away From Me' by Frank Sinatra, Susannah scored a disappointing 12, which added to last week meant they received 24 in total, seeing them at the bottom of the leader board yet again.
Craig started off the judging and was as blunt as ever, scoring them a 1 with the comment "Even that smoke couldn't cover that complete dance disaster."
Shirly and Darcy, both scoring 4, were a little more positive saying she "looked the part..." and it was a "definite improvement on last week."
Sadly, it wasn't enough. And on Sunday night we saw the pair wave goodbye to their fellow dancers and judges.
Bring on week 3!
So, we leave week two in a cloud of glitter - eagerly awaiting our next dose of Strictly spectacular. Who will be in trouble next week? And will anyone be able to knock Ashley form the top spot?
