WATCH: The incredible story of Ballet Star Sergei Polunin
Dancer, the story of Ukrainian ballet dancer Sergei Polunin, is being released in cinemas across the UK this week.

The 27 year old was the youngest principal in British Royal Ballet history before he resigned in 2012 claiming "the artist in me was dying".

Since then Polunin has shot to further fame through a number of viral projects he worked on with music director David LaChapelle.

Now, the story of a man who has given his life and soul to ballet has been documented for the big screen.

Steven Cantor directs the film which focuses on the dancers life and career.

Polunin was described as a golden boy who slipped to becoming a bad boy, but has got his career back on track.

The film is being shown in 15 cinemas across the UK including locations in London, Wimbledon, Bath, Norwich, Glasgow, Southampton and Penzance. It is also available for download on iTunes, Amazon, Google Store and Sky Store. Or you can pre-order the DVD which is released on April 24 2017.
