WHY JOIN A MODERN JIVE DANCING CLASS?
Modern Jive is a dance style in its own right. It evolved in the 1980s in London. Modern Jive uses a wide variety of popular music found in clubs, intricate moves and a wide variety of tempos unlike the traditional ballroom Jive.
Due to the fast paced nature and upbeat rhythms of the music, learning Modern Jive is fun, leaves you feeling happy and helps you get fit fast!

WHY JOIN A LINDY HOP DANCING CLASS?
Lindy Hop can today be found in almost every corner of London and major cities in the UK. Lindy Hop is generally considered a very dynamic form of dance. Lindy dancing often combines choreographed routines, improvised sequences, solo and partner dancing. Partners may dance alone or together.
Lindy Hop is frequently danced to a range of music including blues, rhythm and blues, jump blues, jazz, groove, soul and hip hop, as well as rockabilly and country.
This is very much a social form of dancing, taking place in venues large and small across the UK.
It's a very popular form of social dancing and a good way to keep fit and healthy.
WHY JOIN A JITTERBUG DANCING CLASS?
Jitterbug is the original 1930's and 1940's partner dance. Dancing to big band jazz music, swing preceded the rock and roll jive of the 1950's. Learn how to do the cuddle back, the helicopter, the handshake and many other Jitterbug steps. Jitterbug is considered slightly less acrobatic than Lindy Hop. The Jitterbug and Lindy Hop is considered to be more or less the same type of dance.
Most clubs teach Lindy Hop and Jitterbug.
HOW TO FIND A SWING DANCE CLASS?

You can also learn to dance Ballroom Jive which is a more stylised form of Jive dancing. Choose Latin Ballroom in the search to find teachers who offer this form of instruction.
For Lindy Hop and Jitterbug, use Swing as the search term. This will display dance clubs and dance schools that offer the various forms of Swing dancing classes. If you cant find Jitterbug in your search, look for schools and teachers offering Lindy Hop.
